THE VINEYARD: To Kalon is situated on prime benchland in west Oakville. The well-drained soils combine with ideal sun exposure to yield rich, complex flavors and flawless fruit maturity.

THE VINTAGE: 2015 started warmer and drier than usual, without a drop of rain in January. These conditions continued well into April with some early irrigation in the vineyards. A cooler May reduced fruit set and provided the first signs of a lighter crop. The harvest brought in fruit at optimal flavor maturity before a series of heat waves hit the valley.

Pts. Jeb Dunnuck "A different beast, yet in the same ballpark qualitatively, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon To Kalon just jumps out of the glass with a huge nose of sage brush, chocolate, violets, tobacco, and assorted sweet black and blue fruits. Showing the more exuberant, sexy style of the vintage, it's full-bodied and concentrated, yet has terrific tannins as well as length. It's a beautiful wine from this estate that will drink well for 3 decades or more." - Jeb Dunnuck, January 2019
