A Moment with our Director of Winemaking
We are happy to share our first red wines from the 2021 vintage with you. Above all, the wines are well-structured and powerful. The mood all over the valley was joyous and we found we had something stunningly delicious on our hands.
Chatting with our Director of Winemaking Kurtis Ogasawara, he said "It is one of my favorite vintages in the past decade because of its power, intensity, and freshness that leaves you wanting another glass. Each wine has a unique personality and transports you to the site it was grown.” We could not agree more.
One of our commitments to our wine club members is for our winemaking team to craft a few small lot, new blends each year. Creating these limited offerings of club exclusive wines means Kurtis and his team must rely more on the environment, which means the wines will express unique terroirs year after year. Included in this allocation is our Merlot from Oak Knoll and it is stunning. We know you will enjoy it as much as we do.
