Although it is not predetermined, the majority of the fruit for our Napa Valley Merlot traditionally comes from the Oak Knoll District. Oak Knoll is a great region for Merlot and is renowned for producing grapes that display a combination of freshness and fullness, yielding wines with silky softness and a firm backbone. This held true for the 2018 vintage. A small amount of fruit from select sites in Stags Leap, St. Helena, and Rutherford contributed complexity, each bringing something unique to the blend.
