Our famed winemaker, Genevieve Janssens, has developed an affinity for Cabernet Franc, being quoted as saying “It combines the winemaking skills of Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Noir. It is very delicate, very aromatic, with silky, satiny tannins. To be able to capture all the nuances of this variety, the winemaker needs to be tuned to the site, the vintage.”
