ACCOLADES
92 Points "This layered and firm-textured wine shows good concentration and depth. Fermented in steel and concrete eggs, it is aromatic in citrus, crisp green apples and light toasty mineral notes. Smooth in texture but with nice acidity interwoven. Drink now."

VINEYARD
THE VINEYARD: This property was purchased by Robert Mondavi in 1969, chosen as the site for his home and this vineyard. This hillside vineyard produces fruit with intense varietal character. The 2022 Sauvignon Blanc comes from three blocks, two of which are planted to I-Block clone sourced from the To Kalon Vineyard at Robert Mondavi Winery Oakville estate, which was planted in 1945.
THE VINTAGE: Overall, the 2022 vintage was a mild, dry, and very pleasant growing season through August. The fruit for our Stags Leap Sauvignon Blanc was hand-harvested before a heat surge hit for a week. The juice was cool fermented in a combination of stainless steel tanks and concrete fermentation eggs.
