ACCOLADES
93 Points "Super fresh citrus flavors, showing great acidity, fruit, and minerals. Very clean, bright, tangy, and mouthwatering. Lime zest, grapefruit, and white stones. Partially fermented in concrete eggs to emphasize lees contact, and the rest in steel tanks and neutral barrels. Drink now."

VINEYARD
THE VINEYARD: This property was purchased by Robert Mondavi in 1969, chosen as the site for his home and this vineyard. This hillside vineyard produces fruit with intense varietal character. The 2023 Sauvignon Blanc comes from several blocks, including those planted to I Block clone sourced from the To Kalon Vineyard at Robert Mondavi Winery Oakville estate, which itself was planted in 1945.
THE VINTAGE: The 2023 vintage was one of the longest growing seasons in a decade or more. It offered consistent, mild weather throughout the season and an abundance of sunshine. This allowed the grapes to ripen slowly and develop maximum flavor concentration while maintaining great acidity. The fruit was hand-harvested. It was fermented and aged on the lees for six months in stainless steel tanks, concrete tanks, and neutral French oak barrels.
