2017 Reserve Pinot Noir Carneros

$65

A hedonistically expressive Pinot Noir, our 2017 Reserve brims with decadently rich red
cherry and red and black plums made complex by layers of vanilla, caramel, anise, tarragon,
and an underlying hint of savory earthiness.

The 2017 wildfires made international headlines, but the majority of our grapes, picked between August 28 and September 2, were in the cellar before the fires began.

The Carneros vineyards stretch out across the valley.

A notoriously challenging variety, Pinot Noir prefers the foggy, wind-swept slopes of the Carneros region in southernmost Napa Valley. There, the climate helps retain the aromatic complexity and bright acidity of the grapes while advancing flavor development. We selected special blocks from the Hyde Vineyards, planted in 1979, where clonal diversity enhances complexity and heightens fruitiness, elegance, and structure.
